Drawing a line in the tar sands

Indigenous people living downstream from the tar sands explain in their own words why they are saying enough is enough.  Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation challenges Shell’s new tar sands mine and expansion.



Today at 5 pm, hereditary chief WEC’KINEM (Eric Pelkey), with support from Songhees and the WSÁNEĆ nations, will lead an action to reclaim the traditional name of PKOLS (formerly known as Mt. Douglas).   Come to the park, get involved, be part of something.  Hope to see you there.
